Torre de les aigües

Torre de la Aigües (water’s tower) was promoted by Xavier Camps in order to extract and commercialize water from Besós River. It has an altitude of 63m, 4 floors and a water tank with 60m3. Its amazing beauty borns from the mixture between brick walls with windows and air vents. A sort of clock on the façade showed the tank capacity. But extracting business didn’t work because water began coming out salty and turned out non-potable, so its owner gave finally up, leaving behind a lot of familiar investments and efforts.

Tower has become in remain of one of the most overambitious and complex industrial adventure in Catalunya. The superb tower presence is been able to see from several points along the city and is considrated as one of the most fascinating and delightful in Catalunya.
